Mother's Day is a very special time for us at Hot Pots... because as a mother-daughter team we work hard together to make our store the best that it can be. And we're great friends, too! My mom is my idol, my hero, and my everything. I am blessed everyday that I get to come to work with her! I am so proud of what we've accomplished together and I hope that every customer feels the friendship and comfort we love so much in our studio.

Every 4th Thursday of the month we offer a workshop style class that teaches you new techniques. We walk you through the project step by step and answer all your questions! By the time you finish you are a bona fide artist!

Hot Pots is Blooming this Spring with New Kids' Camps!

There is so much happening this spring, that I don't even know where to begin. For organization's sake I'll separate all of our upcoming Hot Pots Happenings for this March into a few different blogs today! Phew! Have fun reading!

Kids' Camps Are Here!

We are so excited to share 5 new projects!
We will be offering two 1 week camps.
Each week consists of five classes offered twice a day.
A few quick notes:

We ask that you Register in Advance and Prepay - so that we can guarantee that we have enough materials the day of the class.

You can: 1. Register for one class at a time--pick and choose your favorites! OR 2. Get a discount by registering for the whole week!

Each class is $10 per child or $40 for the week ( You save $10!)

There are two sessions each day: 11 AM or 2 PM. (Mix it up, too - for example: you can sign up for 2 pm on Monday, and 11 AM on Wednesday, whichever class works for you!)

The classes last approx. 90 minutes.

Stay or Go! You are welcome to take a stroll through downtown Sanford during the duration of the camp or stay and watch the fun!

We recommend the camp for kids, ages 7-12, but welcome younger and older kids, too! (Ages 5 and under require a parent/guardian to stay for the camp.)

We will provide a goody bag at the end of each class.

All paint is non-toxic and will wash out of clothes! So they can get as messy as they want! But, in case you don't want them to get messy, we will provide basic white shirts for them to wear over their clothes.

Camp Schedule of Projects!!!

Example: "Space Box"

Monday 3/29 or 4/5 - "Splatters" - Use a toothbrush in a whole new way by splattering paint over found objects and then revealing your design!

Tuesday 3/30 or 4/6 - "Bubbly Bowls" - You've never had so much fun blowing bubbles! Use soap, paint, and straws to create this one-of-a-kind bowl!

Wednesday 3/31 or 4/7 - "Whimsy Cup" - Use Fun Writers and bold colors to create this sensationally whimsical cup!

Thursday 4/1 or 4/8 - "Space Box" - Use paper cutouts of moons, planets, and stars, combined with speckled glaze to create an Out-of-This-World Box!

Friday 4/2 or 4/9 - "Groovy Plate" - Use jute string, layering, and etching techniques to create this totally groovy plate!
